At the
end of 2004 FTW DEEPFLEET FLO (Lucky) was sent to America
to Mike Gilpin, one of their countries top amateur cocker
handlers, to run in American field trials. On the 16th and
17th of April 2005 Mike ran Lucky in the Cocker Spaniel Field
Trial Club of America Spring field trials at Blue Ridge Summit,
Pennsylvania.
An open stake was held on each day, the winner of each qualifying
for the American National Championship. Mike achieved the
great result of coming second on the first day and winning
on the second day, also being awarded Guns Choice. This puts
Lucky well on her way to her FTCH status in America and qualifies
her for the Nationals. This means she will have run in both
our countries top event.

Interestingly I have recently purchased Lucky's sister Deepfleet
Feather back from a friend whom I sold it to as a puppy. I
will be breeding from her this year to retain the bloodline.
