Rags has qualified for the 2005 English Springer Spaniel Championship to be held at Bolton Castle, North Yorkshire on the 12th/13th of January 2005. Two of Rag's offspring have also qualified for the 2005 Championship, Deepfleet Jessie a liver and white bitch born 18.6.02 and her brother Deepfleet Jay(see below).

This result made Rags into a Field Trial Champion and qualifies him to run in the 76th English Springer Spaniel Championship to be held at Holkham Hall, Norfolk on the 11th, 12th and 13th of January 2006.

This season Wayne Greig from Essex has made Rag's daughter into a champion now FTCH Deepfleet Jessie and has also won a novice stake with another Rag's daughter. Well done Wayne!

Rag's son JJ is now Field Trial Champion Deepfleet Jay. Rags has now sired two Field Trial Champions and a Field Trial Winner.

Joe has retired from trialling and spends his time picking up and wildfowling. He is an extremely powerful dog with much drive in heavy cover. He has shown that he will put fire in the bellies of the pups he has thrown but they remain kind and biddable. He is the grandfather of both Deepfleet Jay and Deepfleet Jessie. Joe remains rock steady, no noise with a completely sound mouth.

Rave is a young liver and white ESS that I will trial this coming season. He is a stylish, smaller type springer that I have high hopes for in competition.

Zeus is a good looking L/W dog of very interesting breeding. He has just joined the stud force at Deepfleet and I am intending to run him in trials next year. I will certainly be using him at stud myself on selected bitches.

Treacle is a real character with a wonderful temperament. He gained his Field Trial Champion status in December 2003 having won the Dorset Working Spaniel Club Open qualifying stake having previously that year won the Scottish Gundog Open qualifying stake. He competed in the 2004 Cocker Spaniel Championship and was awarded a Diploma of Merit. This was the same Championship that FTW Deepfleet Flo also received a Diploma of Merit.

Treacle is a special Cocker stud dog in so far as he is a totally sound. Good mouth, no noise, easily handled and bashes cover to bits. His sire was FTCH Mallowdale Rackateer and his dam was FTW Elan Linnett. Linnet was a lemon and white bitch which is a real bonus when breeding.
